Dialogue Driven Film

I watched this film last night. Generally speaking, I like dialogue-driven films more than action-driven films. However, I'd never seen 12 Angry Men before.

I got caught up in the story and the characters and became very quickly engaged in the story being told. I plan to watch the film again sometime in the next few days and pay more attention to a few different things:

  • The craft of the film
  • The way that the film demonstrates the effects of the signifier on the body (i.e., how speech/language, the things people say, produce effects on the bodies of people who are subjected to that speech).

More thoughts to come.
